Religious activist accuses Pastor Fatoyinbo of weaponizing poverty

The controversial personality uses the COZA founder as a case study for preachers who are guilty of using poverty to make money from their congregation.

Following the  Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) founder asking students to give N500K and insisting that seed sowing works, the OAP and religious critic made him the case study in a recent Youtube video.

In the clip, uploaded on August 17, 2018, Freeze, who is the leader of the free the sheeple movement, looks for proof that the modern Pentecostal churches are weaponizing poverty at the expense of their congregation.

He starts by going to 1 Samuel 15: 1–3 (NLT) which says "One day Samuel said to Saul, "It was the Lord who told me to anoint you as king of his people, Israel. Now listen to this message from the Lord! This is what the Lord of Heaven's Armies has declared: I have decided to settle accounts with the nation of Amalek for opposing Israel when they came from Egypt. Now go and completely destroy the entire Amalekite nation - men, women, children, babies, cattle, sheep, goats, camels, and donkeys."

Freeze notes that this is the old covenant, explaining that this is why Jesus Christ was born to make a new covenant.

Continuing, he says, "Nobody is required to kill anything for God under our new covenant. Now because they have refused to let go of this old covenant and this old testament, you will find succor for all sorts of wickedness."

Moving on to the COZA founder, he plays a video of the pastor asking students to sow a seed of N500K.

In the video, he encourages the students in the congregation to start early adding, "offering is what you offer, a seed is what the Lord demands."

Continuing, he says, "N500,000 is something you need to release your faith for and give."

Dissecting the video, Freeze explains how the popular preacher is weaponizing poverty.

Watch the rest of the video below to see how he uses the scriptures to condemn Nigerian pastors for taking advantage of their congregation.
