COZA Pastor’s grass to grace story is inspiring

Who knew the popular pastor had such humble beginnings?

Looking at him now, it is quite hard to imagine a time when he was not this polished but that time actually existed.

The founder of The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) recently shared his grass to grace story on Instagram.

Via his account, he revealed how things were in the beginning while thanking his wife, Modele Fatoyinbo, for standing by him through those tough times.

He also thanked the Methodist Church in Nigeria for honouring him with an Honorific Award for Evangelism.

Pastor Biodun wrote, “Babe, we walked the streets of Ilorin together looking for people to preach the gospel to. We didn’t have any car, I had just one trouser, we didn’t have technology or finance to increase our reach, there were holes in your shoes.

“We had to do it one person per time. I’m fully aware that God will reward us for our labour, but I am also thankful to the Methodist Church in Nigeria for presenting us with this Honorific Award for Evangelism! We haven’t lost that same passion and we never will! We are ever committed to winning souls for Christ!

“Thank you, Modele for always standing with me and running with me and running with the vision! I’m blessed to have you!”

If Pastor Fatoyinbo can do it, we all can.

COZA

Pastor Fatoyinbo's may have started small in 1999 but it is definitely a long way from there.

Now, COZA is a megachurch with a huge following, which makes the pastor one of the most remarkable Men of God from 1960 till now.

The church has five branches, one in Ilorin, Abuja, a Lagos branch, a Port Harcourt branch and another in Dubai.

The church is a magnet for young people who are in love with everything about the place of worship.
