The home team will most likely be led by their star man and record signing Victor Osimhen who is their main source of goals over the last two seasons.

How has Victor Osimhen fared against English teams?
Since he has never played league football in England, Victor Osimhen could only have crossed paths with English teams in continental club competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
Osimhen has only played two games against teams from in England in his career so far, in 2019 for Lille against Chelsea and in 2021 for Napoli against Leicester City.
The Super Eagles star striker scored on both occasions which could potentially be a source of worry for Liverpool if he does feature on Wednesday night.

Victor Osimhen’s two games against English teams produced three total goals in those games.
Osimhen first played against an English team on October 2, 2019, for Lille against Chelsea in a UEFA Champions League group stage game.
The Nigerian striker scored a header in the 33rd minute after connecting with Jonathan Bamba’s corner kick to equalise for Lille, although they went on to lose the game 2-1 to Chelsea.
Osimhen was not involved in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge and would have to wait two years for his next match against English opposition and simultaneously his first on English soil.
On October 16, 2021, Osimhen led the line for Napoli as they kicked off their Europa League group stage campaign away at Leicester City.
The game ended 2-2 with Osimhen scoring a brace to help Napoli come back from two goals down in what was a truly impressive performance for the Nigerian striker.
The 22-year-old pulled one back in the 69th minute with a smart goal, calmly lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper having outmuscled the defence to create a chance for himself out of nothing.
Osimhen then broke Leicester City's hearts with the equaliser, a bullet header in the 87th minute after connecting with a cross from Matteo Politano.
