Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior was under so much pressure after viral remarks about dancing to celebrate a goal.
The 22-year-old was unable to find the back of the net but his compatriot Rodrygo scored the first goal and celebrated in style.
Vinicius and Rodrygo both produced some Samba-style moves to shame those who had racist comments about their choice of celebration.
Speaking after the game Rodrygo said,"I'm very happy for the match we played, my goal and the win. We know it's always difficult playing here.
"Today's derby was a bit extra special. I'm very happy to help the team when we needed it the most. That's what I want to keep doing and where I want to be."
Valverde stands out
After the game, Uruguayan midfielder Fede Valverde rose to the top of the trends. The youngster has now scored in three consecutive games earning himself praise for yet another dominanting midfield showing.
Known for his hard work, Valverde is now increasing his productivity which is well appreciated by Real Madrid fans.
Along with Tchoumeni, they have a balanced midfield partnership that could form the nucleus for the next decade.
