The player who admitted that Newcastle United are keen on keeping him as a permanent player at the club has left open the asking door for more, if not better interest from other clubs.

Remy who couldn't salvage his parent club Queens Park Rangers from relegation two seasons ago, has been on loan at St. James' Park since the 2013/2014 season. He is now on the asking at QPR as they have regained promotion to the EPL but the 27 year Old defender finds a return to Loftus Road out of the books for his career at the moment.

He has been keen in his desire for a Champions League berth with a leading interest from Arsenal to bring the 6'1 striker to the Emirates. Although Arsenal is yet to make an offer for Remy, he concedes that shining at the World Cup in Brazil this summer could open more doors to more exciting interests.

Speaking to L'Equipe: "The World Cup is a way of putting myself on display. Newcastle want to hire me but I don't know if I will stay there.'' Remy said

Speaking at the opportunity to represent France in his first World Cup: "During the World Cup I could be a good surprise. At every World Cup and Euro there are players that you don't expect who really impress." The Frenchman added.

Remy who missed out of Newcastle's last game of the season is currently getting back to fitness and he thinks:"This has been a turning point in my career, a year of transition. Since the turn of the year everything has been okay and when I am fully fit I believe I can hurt opponents.''

"Alan Pardew understood my point of view. We were playing without any specific objective.

"I didn't want to take the risk of getting injured again.

"Missing Euro 2012 due to injury really hurt me. The sky collapsed. It was devastating. It was the most difficult experience I have ever had. I needed six months to get over it." Remy added.
