The Costa Rican goalkeeper became top interest for the European Champions after a spectacular display at the World Cup, leading his team to the Quarterfinals.

Real Madrid completed the signing of the 27 year-old Levante goalkeeper for six years, amidst rumours that Spain international.

A statement from Levante PresidentQuico Catalan, published on the club's website confirmed the deal: "

Navas was voted the third best Goal Keeper at the Brazil 2014 World Cup with two clean sheets against England and Italy, and a 120 minutes clean sheet record before Netherlands actually knocked them out on penalties in the quarter final stage.

He however, will have to fight for first place at the Madrid club with Diego Lopez still churning out impresive performances which has seen Iker Casillas drop down the pecking order of coach Carlo Ancelotti; the Costa Rican was first choice at Levante last season after fighting way through to beat Gustavo Munua at the goal sticks.
