Remembering Ex-Super Eagles Skipper, Jay Jay Okocha's Early Days In Germany
41 years ago, on August 14, he breathed his first, decades on, he stands as one of the best Nigeria has ever produced in the game of football.
Who could have told that a mere orange seller; who played street football bare-footed; went to school in the morning and goes hawking in the evening period would teach the world a style of football only known by legends?
Austin Jay Jay Okocha shared with us a throwback photo of his days in Germany, the beginning of a sojourn that later took him to France; making him the most expensive footballer in the world then with an 18 million dollar transfer to PSG in 1998, afterwards Bolton Wanderers in England, Qatar SC and ending his career with Hull City.
Six years after retirement, Okocha is still very involved in football administration; a position he currently serves the Delta State Football Association as acting FA Chairman.
