Obafemi Martins loses three Nigerian teammates at MLS club Seattle Sounders
MLS club, Seattle Sounders have sacked three of the four Nigerians in its fold.
The club which pays the salaries of 'the weapon of mass destruction'Obafemi Martins laid off former Enyimba player, Onyekachi Apam; Sean Okoli and Jalil Anibaba.
Currently preparing for the coming 2015 season, the club considered it best to let go of the players who have rarely featured for the team since they joined in.
"In our league it's a consistent challenge to keep successful teams together, and these types of decisions are always difficult."Having said that, conversations are ongoing with several players about their respective futures with our club, and as we continue to shape the roster for 2015 we'll have additional announcements to share,’’ club official, Adrian Hanauer said.
Onyekachi Apam did not feature in any game since joining the Sounders on a free transfer in September.
Okoli on his part played just three games before being loaned off to a second division league while Anibaba’s expired contract was not renewed by the club.
