He was so prolific at AZ Alkmaar that he left them a winner before his double trophy quest at Bayern Munich

Van Gaal left the Bavarian club in the mid-season of 2011, after he led them to the final of the UEFA Champions league against Inter Milan which they lost; questions were raised why such a successful coach was fired from the Allianz Arena

The questions were answered on Tuesday by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Byaern chairman who reveals that the Dutch man has huge 'ego problems'

Rummenigge stated that the problem with Van Gaal began when he wrote his autobiography and presented it to the public

The chairman further claimed that LVG did not make it easy for the club and players as he tried to run the club in his own way and taste by wanting to ''Vangaalise'' it.

Rummenigge did however, congratulate Van Gaal as a but insisted that Pep Guardiola is the surest bet that Bayern has ever made

Praising the Spaniard’s addition to the club in the signing of Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski, after he won the German Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and German Bundesliga, he said:

Van Gaal was shown the way out of Bayern Munich a season after he led the club to a double and that paved way for Pep Guardiola came in to end the 'Vangaalisation' of the club, Man United can as well do away with Van Gaal who came in as a saviour after the exit of David Moyes.

Much to the dismay of the club's management and fans, the Dutchman has been unable to translate the hopes and hypes that preceeded his coming, taking United to its worst league start record since the 1986
