Eding Sport blame referee for defeat to Plateau United

According to Kwese, an unnamed source of the club believes the Eding were not treated fairly as the lost to Plateau 3 – 0.

The reigning Cameroon champions came into the game with internal problems, after head coach Anicet Foe Mbarga unexpectedly left.

Eding who made their first appearance in the prestigious continental competition were unhappy with the officials decision which they thought affected the final result.

"When one team are playing with the referees, what do you expect? he broke up our attacking moves, whistled against everything," a source is quoted to say in the report.

"Even when there was the slightest contact, he blew. When it was them, he let it go. He denied us a goal, among so many things, but there you go."

Eding conceded the first goal when Ogene Elijah tapped in his initial penalty which was saved, while Sunday Ingbede and Joshua Obaje added the second and third for Plateau respectively.

"For the penalty, there was a handball, but for their two other goals, I'd contest offside,"  the source also added.

Eding Sport will host current the Nigerian champions in the second leg encounter of the CAF Champions League.
