Sam Billings added to England's provisional Cricket World Cup squad

Kieswetter revealed earlier this week that he is unlikely to feature in the 2015 season as he continues his recovery from an eye injury sustained representing Somerset in a County Championship match against Northamptonshire in July.

Uncapped Kent wicketkeeper-batsman Billings has been drafted in following the update on Kieswetter.

And Kieswetter wasted little time in wishing the 23-year-old well.

"Congratulations to @sambillings for being called up to the 30 man World Cup squad. A seriously talented player = future star," Kieswetter posted on Twitter on Friday.

The Cricket World Cup gets under way in February and England will face the likes of Australia and New Zealand in the group stage.
