Authorities in Australia have reportedly decided that referees will no longer wear pink as it undermines their authority. Instead officials in the NRL will now apparently wear red or blue in order to encourage discipline.

However, the RFL confirmed to Perform that referees in the English game will continue to wear pink.

When asked the possibility of a change, an RFL spokesman said: "The pink jerseys will remain."
