Nicolas Mahut's love affair with the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships continued when he won the title for a third time at the expense of Gilles Muller on Monday.

Mahut led 6-4 when rain prevented the final from being completed in 's-Hertogenbosch on Sunday, but the French wildcard returned a day later to seal a 6-4 6-4 victory.

The eighth seed won on the grass in the Netherlands in 2013 before regaining his title last year and Muller was unable to deny him a hat-trick of titles.

World number 61 Mahut picks up €100,800 for his latest triumph, while Muller has now failed to win all four ATP World Tour finals he has featured in.

Mahut will face defending champion Andy Murray at Queen's on Tuesday and he was in no hurry to hang around on the eve of that first-round match, breaking in the third game under grey skies and not allowing Muller a solitary break point in the second set.

The clinical Mahut won all three break points in the match and can now head to London to step up his preparations for Wimbledon with a spring in his step.
