DailyMail reports that the picture was taken by Pete James Ingham, during an August vacation with his girlfriend.

Ingham says the face of Jesus Christ was only discovered whiling uploading pictures on his iPad.

While claiming to be the "least religious person in the world," the 43-year-old photographer, admits that he was surprised and finds the image 'very creepy'.

"All my images were blurry except one, which I thought was strange. The exposure wasn't perfect so I toned it down and then bang — the face appeared in the dust.

Everyone I've shown has said they could see it. I showed my girlfriend first and she went a bit white in the face and said it's really freaky," the photographer added.

This picture was taken in a strong dust storm in the Mojave Desert, California.
