"Pastor Tunde Bakare is in need of rest" - church releases official statement

In response to reports that prominent pastor, Tunde Bakare had slumped and was rushed to a hospital while speaking at a public lecture, the Latter Rain Assembly church has released an official update on his health status.

Pastor Bakare while speaking at the Renaissance Capital's  6th Annual Pan- African Investor Conference at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria-Island, Lagos on Monday, May 18, suddenly collapsed and was rushed to Reddington hospital.

According to the church in an official statement released via its Facebook page, its founding pastor is 'hale, hearty and in good spirits, though in need of rest'.

The church also pleaded with everyone to remain calm and give Bakare enough space so he can be back on his feet within the next few days.

Thank you all for your outpouring of affection and concern through calls, messages, and prayers.

Please be assured that Pastor ‘Tunde Bakare is hale, hearty and in good spirits, though in need of rest.

We therefore ask everyone to please remain calm and give him the space and time to fully recuperate over the next few days.
