The Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church who publicly displayed its support on same sex marriage with a rainbow coloured flag is now a target for either thieves or anti-LGBT.
Reverend Joanna Fontaine Crawford said her church was open to all regardless of faith, sex and spiritual path.
She stated that the flag has been in front of the church even before the anti-gay bill was approved by the supreme court in june.
According to Kuve news, the flag has been stolen times, each time it was stolen it was replaced with a bigger and branded rainbow coloured flag
Reverend Joanna in a statement sent to Kuve said that there was no need for the flag to be stolen because the church is ready to listen to their views.
"You don't have to rip our flag down to express your views. I'm happy to listen to them," she said.
When the first flag was stolen we got a larger flag and put it out, and you know, things seemed OK," Crawford said.
But that flag wasn't waving for long soon, it disappeared, so far the church has had its flag stolen four times, at one point the thieves even ripped out the small flagpole and its holder,” she further stated.
The church is considering putting in security cameras outside the church so they can catch the thief. KVUE is told the Williamson County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
