16. Katlego Kolanyane-Kesupile,Global Shaper, Gaborone Hub. Director, Kat Kai Kol-Kes International
Katlego Kolanyane-Kesupile is a self-employed performance artist, theatre producer, publicist, writer, educator, designer and ARTivist with over 10 years working experience. Katlego is a leading advocate for public sensitization on queer matters in Botswana, and a notable international thought leader. She is the founder of the Queer Shorts Showcase Festival - Botswana's first and only LGBT themed theatre festival. Katlego became Botswana's first openly identifying transgender public figure [she identifies as a Trans* woman] and has used her personal experience and academic foundations in queer theory and semiotics as departure points for her ARTivist work.
17. Keolebogile Lebogang Maruapula, Global Shaper, Juba Hub. Communications & Advocacy Officer, United Nations Volunteers (UNV)
Passionate about International Development and sustainable development issues, Lebogang is a UN Volunteer at United Nations Mission in South Sudan. She has a Masters in International Policy and Diplomacy. Lebo is a Mandela Washington Fellow for 2014 as selected by the Barack Obama Administration and co-founder of The Goddess Foundation founded in 2011,which focuses on mentorship of the girl child. .Lebo is also a partner at Lebopo which is a product line of organic body products made from African oils and butters.
18. Lauren Uppink, Global Shaper, Cape Town Hub. Execution Strategist, Founder, Africa Health Placements, Agora
Lauren is a social entrepreneur with a history in gender activism, the trade union movement, and development integration for local government. She is the founder of Agora, which specializes in inclusive policy-making and implementation, through which she utilizes the entrepreneurial principles of innovation and collaboration to reshape the regulated systems that govern our lives, particularly in the workplace and in the design of our cities. Lauren currently works with Africa Health Placements, where she designs and delivers pragmatic partnership solutions to address the extreme inequalities in access to health in Africa.
19. Mandisa Ntombela, Global Shaper, Durban Hub. Creditor, HR Lithographic Printers cc t/a Process Litho
A change driver that is passionate about youth and business development, currently pursuing a Postgraduate qualification through the University of KwaZulu Natal majoring in Business Management studies. I'm currently employed in the private sector, by a company trading as Process Litho, under their Accounts & Finance department. She is the founder of an initiative known as the Grace for Girls project which focuses on the mentorship of young girls aged between 12 to 16 years old. The mentorship program is tailor-made for the young girl at hand, tackling situations that the child is struggling with directly before dealing with external forces. She is the founder of Amahlobo Trading Enterprise cc, a consultation company that offers its services to start-ups and NGO/NPO organisations, providing guidance with Business Plans/Models, Business Development Strategies and Registration processes.
20. Michaella Rugwizangoga, Global Shaper, Kigali Hub. CEO/Co-founder, Future54
Michaella is a trained scientist, award-winning writer and entrepreneur. She is a managing partner at Future54 (Consultancy and Creative Media Firm). In 2013, Michaella co-founded a non-profit with young leaders from Mali & Senegal - her team coordinates Umuganda Africa in Guinee, Mali, Senegal & Benin. She is the Vice Curator and Director of External Relation for the Kigali Global Shaper Hub. She is in charge of planning, coordinating and executing the monthly ‘Twumve Twumve’ Forum. She has been a guest speaker at various youth forum in Rwanda, the UNESCO Headquarter (France) and the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (Germany).
21. Mohamed Abdel Samad, Global Shaper, Cairo Hub. Co-founder and General Manager, Shagara
Mohamed Ashraf Abdel Samad is a social entrepreneur; he acquired his Bachelor and Master’s degree in business from Brussels. Abdel Samad has started his first venture in Brussels in 2009, with a mission to promote sustainable agriculture. In 2011 he has started Shagara, an NGO that uses design thinking techniques to employ trees in an attempt to mitigate climate change and poverty. Further, Abdel Samad provided business mentorship to PWC’s ‘Sustinnovation Hub’, where university students learned about turning their ideas into a sustainable business.
22. Mohamed El Dahshan, Global Shaper, Cairo Hub. Senior Cooperation Officer African Development Bank
Mohamed has a BSc in Computer and Communication Engineering, Alexandria University and is a Master's degree candidate. He is co-founder of three start-ups: View Finders Photography Club; Event Popper; Innovideas Marketing and Advertising agency. He is also IEEE Region 8 Young Professionals Subcommittee corresponding member and board member Techne Summit .Since 2009, he has volunteered with many NGOs, programmes, projects and youth initiatives. Interests: photography, entrepreneurship, marketing and public relations.
23. Nafisa Mahdi Mohammed Amin, Global Shaper, Khartoum Hub Co-founder Head of Research, Marketing Lime Partners
Nafisa has over seven years of experience in Marketing, specializing in areas of market research, brand architecture, brand positioning and brand portfolio design; Nafisa is also a certified expert in Customer Experience Management from the Global CEM Organization. Nafisa has a proven track record of delivering successful projects in Customer Behavior researches including Segmentation, Customer Satisfaction, Communication Effectiveness and Brand Equity/Health.
24. Ndikumana Sudy, Global Shaper, Goma Hub. MD General Practitionner, Referral Hospital of North Kivu
Ndikumana is the founder and General Secretary of the SAY-CONGO, which is a platform of Youth’s initiaves in Congo DRC, and he is still working on a project of involving the best living together in all our societies and promoting the Health care system and the Medical Ethics among Physicians. He is a Great lake's son, meaning that he has travelled in all the countries of this region(Central and East Africa).
25. Ngono Manga Regine Clemence, Global Shaper, Douala Hub. CEO, Translator-Interpreter Ebug
Clémence is a translator – interpreter interested in economic empowerment and gender issues who got into contact with entrepreneurship and gender issues when she was hired as Executive Secretary by the Cameroon Business Women’s Network (CBWN), a hub of Africa Business Women’s Network (ABWN) and of the organization Vital Voice. Being provided with the opportunity to finally achieve her dream of becoming a translator-interpreter, she left the organization to enroll in a Master’s program in Translation and Interpretation at ASTI, Cameroon.
26. Nicola Grace Hove, Global Shaper, Bulawayo Hub. Chief Executive Officer, G26 Investment Group
Chief Executive Officer of G26 Investment Group, a company with investment interests in mining, technology, financial and legal advisory. Nicola manages three subsidiaries under her portfolio. She is Zimbabwe Youth Council's Head of Education, Entrepreneurship Training and Skills Development, Former Secretary of International Affairs under the Organization of African Youth, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senator in the Junior Parliament of Zimbabwe. She is studying for an LLB (Hons) Degree with the University of South Africa.
27. Oluwaseun Daniel, Global Shaper, Abuja Hub. Officer 1, Nigcomsat
Daniel is an entrepreneur and CEO of Anielworks design company and is big believer in the Nigerian Entrepreneurship youth movement. He represented Nigeria, bringing home a gold medal in the International Computer Olympiad in Ashgabat Turkmenistan at the age of eighteen. Anielworks Limited provides IT services that help Nigerian small businesses become part of the ever increasing global community
28. Omnia Eteyari , Global Shaper, Tripoli Hub. Co-Founder/CEO, Mazadah
Omnia is co-founder and CEO of Mazadah, an award-winning IT training and services company. After earning her Bcs. degree in Architecture and Regional Planning Engineering, she gained a wealth of knowledge through five years of work experience with one of the world’s leading companies in Railway Business ‘The German Railways’. Mazadah today is the biggest Red-Hat Certified Training Partner in the MENA region, with operations in four Arab countries and expanding
29. Oscar Maina, Global Shaper, Nairobi Hub. CEO, Business Mind Africa Ltd
Oscar studies in Accounting, Strathmore University, Nairobi. He is Founding President, Students in Free Enterprise, Strathmore University. Oscar was formerly, with FedEx; US commercial section, Nairobi; Nation Media Group. He is currently, Chief Executive Officer, Business Mind Africa, which publishes Business Mind Magazine, a premier business magazine that focuses on successful young entrepreneurs in Africa. Oscar is Chair, Alumni Entrepreneurs Network, Strathmore University.
30. Philippe Nyirimihigo, Global Shaper, Kigali Hub Co-Founder and Art Director
Educated in Burundi, Rwanda and Canada, he has had the opportunity to travel around the world and be exposed to many cultures while connecting with people who have greatly impacted his life, personally and professionally. As an Art Director and head of the photography and video department, he thinks it is important to tell our story as we experience it.
