Singer shares tips on songwriting

The Rockanation Music Company presents the second episode of its music tutorial.

On the new episode of his weekly music tutorial, Florocka gives out some tips on song writing.

Music producer and singer Florocka has been writing songs for almost 15 years. On this episode he the talks about his song writing background.

“Its interesting writing songs, it just gives you this form of expression,” he said in the video.

The musician shared that he is inspired by different things like relationships, his experiences, music he is listening to and the situation around him.

He revealed that sometimes, his mood affects his lyrics. His song ‘It’s not about you and be” was motivated by a horrific driving experience.

“What inspired that song was I was in traffic one day and I was driving this sedan and this dude in a jeep just came and almost hit me off the road.

”I got to the studio and I was pissed, I was inspired to make a song.”

He suggests changing your environment when you want to write.

“It helps in giving you a fresh perspective”.

As an artist one of the skills you are most likely to require is being able to pen down lyrics for a song. However this is a craft you can master over time.

Florocka recommends collaboration with other songwriters.
