The centre trained with Eddie Jones' side for the first time since returning from a groin injury on Tuesday and could make his first international appearance since June 2014 against Wales.

Before he is unleashed on the international scene in the Six Nations he will have to prove his fitness when Leicester host high-flying Exeter Chiefs on Sunday.

Tuilagi is one of 11 players freed for club duty, the 24-year-old joined by the likes of Courtney Lawes, Alex Goode and Semesa Rokoduguni.

"It's great to have him [Tuilagi]here," forwards coach Steve Borthwick told BBC Sport. "He's done well in the short time he's been back with us, and he's certainly a player that will hopefully have an impact for this team.
