The coach's future has come into question, with speculation a rift has developed within his team.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Griffin rubbished suggestions Blatt's position was under threat.

"This narrative of our coaching situation is truly ridiculous. It's a non-story, it's a non-narrative," he said.

"Coach Blatt is our coach, he's going to remain our coach. Do not write that as a vote of confidence. He never needed one. It was never a question. So don't write it that way."

The Cavs have lost five of their past seven games, including Sunday's 109-90 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Griffin said the Cavs, who are 19-15 this season, would improve.

"This is exactly what we said it's going to be: It's a work in progress and we're going to continue to get better every day," he said.
