Leading IT firm Aptech has finalized plans to encourage Nigerian students to pursue careers in the field Information Technology, as a means of promoting IT education among students in the country.
The initiative, called CareerQuest, will be a one-stop resource platform for students who are interested in studying abroad. The seminar will educate them as well as give them an opportunity to have a feel of the IT world.
The seminar will be mainly based on the APTECH Certified Computer Professional (ACCP) program which is the firm’s focal IT certification program. Students who participate in this course get scholarships and a unique credit transfer facility that gives them a B.Sc. (Hons) degree from the Middlesex University, which has campuses in London, Mauritius, Dubai and Malta.
The idea behind all of this, apart from promoting IT education among Nigerian students, is that the students are given the opportunity to choose from a wide range of courses – from a recognized university – which will in turn provide the students with better employment opportunities.
Therefore, it goes without saying that this is a great opportunity and one that shouldn't be missed.
