Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, has commended Northern traditional rulers for taking a bold stance against the security challenges menacing the region and Nigeria as a whole.

Obi's remark followed a recent declaration by the monarchs at their 7th Executive Committee Meeting of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council in Maiduguri on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

The royal fathers jointly declared ‘Enough is Enough’ on the nation's security situation, attracting commendation from Obi.

In a post on his X on Thursday, the former Anambra State Governor said the monarchs have taken a courageous step needed to find a lasting solution to the menace.
