The phones have been recalled by Samsung due to a battery fault which has been causing the devices to explode.

The NCAA gave the order via a statement signed by General Manager, Public Relations, Sam Adurogboye.

The statement reads in part:

“NCAA is appealing to the passengers’ responsibilities in relation to ensuring safety and security of air transportation.  Importantly, all airlines are hereby advised to emphasize the prohibition of these devices on board during passenger briefings by the Cabin Crew.”
