The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter aircraft has repelled a fresh
According to a statement released by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa, the attack occurred on Monday, November 7.
Famuyiwa said while the fighter aircraft scrambled to repel the attack, the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft was deployed to give guidance to ground troops.
He said the operation, which started at about 5pm, continued till about 7:15pm before the terrorists were subdued.

Famuyiwa also said NAF had conducted a number of day and night operations on Sunday, adding that the air interdiction missions were aimed at decimating the operational capability of the insurgents.
He said the operations were carried out at Kashimeri, Tumbu Gini, chukugudu and other terrorists' strongholds from where they launched an attack on Bama and neighbouring settlements.
