Automaker becomes best-selling brand after 34% increase in car sales

According to The Irish Times, the Korean brand beat Toyota, Ford and Volkswagen to the top with a 33.6% increase in new car sales.

Stephen Gleeson, the managing director of Hyundai Ireland, revealed on his thoughts on this achievement.

Gleeson said the brand will continue to do well due to the amount of February orders.

While Hyundai was first with 5,062 registrations, Toyota came in second with 4,852, while Ford's 4,383 registrations made it third.

Volkswagen was pushed down to the fourth position with 3,748 registrations, this can probably be attributed to the ongoing diesel emission scandal.
