A Jewish businessman, Miles Nadal, is the lucky owner of Pope Francis' "Popemobile", the Fiat 500L.

Last month (March 2016), Pope Francis' "Popemobile", the Fiat 500L, was put up for sale.

The auction was done on Charitybuzz, from March 17, 2016.

Bids started at $10,500 and stopped on Thursday, March 31, 2016.

The auction site has revealed the lucky owner, a Jewish businessman and car collector named

Nadal, 58, got the Popemobile for $300,000.

The excited 58 year old shared the news via social media.

He released a press release on Friday, April 1, 2016, where he spoke on the significance of the car, along with his intentions for it.

"This car is special to me since I am a collector thrilled to own such a unique piece of history.As a Jew, I am interested in helping all communities and appreciate any opportunity but particularly this one, to be able to contribute to organizations benefiting children.

I’m a huge fan of Charitybuzz and I was thrilled to be supporting the Catholic church’s work. This is a unique, one of a kind vehicle, and I had been following the auction with great interest.

We’ll have people come and admire it, maybe sit in it, but it’s staying put.”

Nadal is also getting blessings from a Cardinal, Timothy Dolan.

The Popemobile will sit in his car collection, along with 130 cars and motorcycles.
