Mercedes Benz is set to take on Tesla Motors, the undeniable leader of electric car industry.
In order to win this crazy battle, the German company has developed a modular platform,

This platform, also called a “multi-model vehicle architecture,” was unveiled at a tech briefing at Mercedes Benz’s headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany.
According to Carbuzz, this platform will be used in an all electric, zero-emissions SUV.
This SUV is expected to a have "whole new look that takes into consideration the unique properties of electric vehicles”.
While production is not due until 2019, the first of these SUVs will be previewed at the 2016 Paris Auto Show in late September, 2016.
