The Blue Jays and Rockies confirmed Toronto will acquire Tulowitzki and right-handed reliever LaTroy Hawkins in exchange for shortstop Jose Reyes and three minor leaguers.

In other moves on Tuesday, the Washington Nationals acquired closer Jonathan Papelbon from the Philadelphia Phillies for a Double-A pitcher.

The Oakland Athletics traded utility player Ben Zobrist to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for pitchers Aaron Brooks and Sean Manaea.

The Los Angeles Angels also announced the additions of outfielders David Murphy and David DeJesus in separate trades.
