Arsenal star shows off chewing gum trick, reveals pre-match ritual

Mesut Ozil is good with the ball; this is old news.

But in this new video, the Arsenal midfielder shows that he can control anything with his magical left foot,

The Germany international is known juggle his chewing gum while warming up, but incase you have never seen him pull off such amazing control, he displayed it in full effect for an adidas football boot comercial.

In the video, Ozil stands up, blows the gum from his mouth and juggle it several times before playing into the camera.

He walks up to the camera and picks up the gum into his mouth.

While also promoting the new laceless boot, Ozil took part in a Q&A conducted by Adidas ahead of him l wearing the boots for the first time.

He  explained what it is that makes laceless boots so apparently important for him.

“I always used to have the same ritual before every game where I make only knots with the laces instead of tying them in the traditional way, and then tuck them in,” he told Adidas.

“I think that if you tie your laces in the traditional way it’s harder to control the ball as the surface area is not flat.

"That’s why I’m so excited for the ACE 16+ Pure Control and having a laceless surface, though I will need a new pre-match routine now!
