My stepson is amazing, Miranda told Extra at a march celebrating CMA Fest and Mirandas foundation, MuttNation, which raises awareness for dog adoption. Im loving that whole phase, and Ive raised a million dogs, so I feel like Ive got that part of my womanly/motherly thing is full, so this is a whole new journey. Its great.

Brendans son was born just three days before Brendan and Miranda first met last November. The Grammy winner and her country group, Pistol Annies, were performing on Good Morning America where Brendan, a New York-based police officer, was on duty. These days, since tying the knot on January 26 in a super-secret ceremony, the newlyweds are splitting their time between Nashville and New York and loving it.

We have the best of both worlds," Miranda said. "We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life. Im enjoying the balance.

As a self-described crazy dog lady, Miranda also gushed about how Brendans embraced her many, many fur babies. Hes a great guy and, bless his heart, he didnt have any dogs or any animals at all when he came into this relationship, so he inherited a whole barn full Marching with us today, he knows how important that is to me. He lives with a crazy dog lady.
