Contrary to popular opinion (or at least that of one Ms. Marylin Monroe), diamonds are in fact not a girl's best friend-at least that's how I feel after watching Dr. Pimple Popper's newest video.

In her most recent Instagram masterpiece, dermatologist Sandra Lee, M.D. gets to work "mining for #diamonds." Which sounds a whole lot different than literally any other pimple-popping video she's posted. That is, until you find out the "diamond" is of the human variety, and it's located on a woman's face.

Dr. Pimple Popper's Instagram video actually directs you to her YouTube channel, where you can see the entire thing-titled "Shave Biopsy and A Human Diamond" in all of its 7-minute glory.

There, you get something pretty tame at first: the shave biopsy of a woman's raised mole Dr. Pimple Popper referenced in her Instagram caption. (FYI: A shave biopsy, per the National Cancer Institute , is a procedure in which a skin abnormality and a thin layer of surrounding skin are removed with a small blade for examination under a microscope.)

But once the quick biopsy is done, Dr. Pimple Popper switches her focus to "that other little thing" on her patient's cheek, which, tbh, doesn't look like anything to the average viewer. (Seriously, no matter how close you get to the screen you can't see zilch.) But that's definitely not the case on the opposite side of the camera, as the patient says, "I can definitely feel it under there."

"Yeah, you can see it too. There's something under there, " Dr. Pimple Popper responds as she nicks the skin with a scalpel.

Next, using a comedone extractor , the dermatologist pushes against the patient's cheekbone and frustratedly mumbles under her breathe. One thing's for sure, whatever "it" is, it's damn stubborn. Dr. Pimple Popper pokes the skin with her scalpel again until she finally makes progress: "There it is! I feel it right there. It really is rock hard there.

Still, Dr. Pimple Popper has no luck digging the tiny "rock" out-until she grabs her trusty tweezers . With help from those bad boys, Dr. P is finally able to grab onto a little piece of this mystery annoyance that seems to be poking out (FYI: squinting helps) and pull it out. "I got it! Look! Yes, I think it's a diamond," she says, jokingly.

Unfortunately, Dr. Pimple Popper never totally divulges what the "rock hard" piece in her patients skin is (a tiny hard cyst ? something entirely different?), but one thing's for sure: The woman is downright ecstatic to have it removed. "I'm so happy!" she squeals. I'm happy for you too, girl.
