Demi Lovato Just Shared A Selfie Wearing A Crazy-Looking Face Peel

When she's not breaking a sweat at the jujitsu gym or living her best life in Bora Bora, Demi Lovato takes good care of her skin. Like, really good care of her skin.

The actress and singer revealed in a new Instagram story that she's regular user of a professional-grade chemical peel known for brightening and evening skin tone. In the IG story, she wrote, "When I can't sleep...I triple berry peel. Love you @reneerouleau."

The product Demi's using is the Triple Berry Smoothing Peel , a chemical exfoliant that comes loaded with a mix of exfoliating acids-mandelic, lactic, salicylic, tartaric and malic acids-which peel away dead skin cells in order to brighten skin, fade post-breakout discoloration, lift brown sun spots, and even clear clogged pores.

Designed to look and smell like raspberry jam (yum!) the peel also contains blueberry extract, raspberry seed oil, pomegranate extract, and strawberry fruit (pomegranates are technically berries, so would that make it a quadruple-berry peel?)

The peel is also super-easy to use: You just apply a thin layer to clean skin (FYI: You might feel a tingling here, but that's normal), let it sit for five to 10 minutes, rinse with cool water, and then follow up with a mask or moisturizer.

And as Demi showed in her post, chemical peels aren't just for the face-you can actually extend them down your neck and on to your chest, for some extra brightening love in those areas, too. According to the product description, it can even be used to help flatten out bumps from keratosis pilaris , a common skin condition which causes tiny red bumps and roughness on the upper arms, thighs, and buttocks, per the American Academy of Dermatology .

Something to note, though: Demi's fave chemical peel doesn't come cheap-a single jar runs a whopping $88.50. Then again, with a recommended use of one to four times per month, per the site's instructions, the stuff probably lasts a super long time.
