Thomas and I have miscarried 4 times in the last 18 months, the most recent being just a few weeks ago. Going through this weve learned a lot of things and I thought they were worth sharing if it helps anyone else! 1: Miscarriage is something thats rarely discussed, especially in this always-beautiful-insta-friendly world. Its nothing to be ashamed of, nor should it have a stigma surrounding it. If we talked about it more, maybe more people would have an easier time processing. Miscarriages are far more common than we think. 2: We feel super lucky to have such an incredible network of friends, family and doctors around us who can help us handle all this. I know a lot of friends / acquaintances who feel very alone in this whole process and if youre not comfortable talking to your friends or fam, ask your doctor as there are plenty of recommendations for places to turn for support. 3: We live in a world where everyone seems to know everything about everyones business. I get asked on a daily basis when we are planning to have kids. I know its exciting to think about (I mean, could you imagine a little @whatsthomaseating running around ) but heres the thing, we never know what anyone is going through / what their plans are / or if they even want kids. Its a tough question for a lot of people, so just something to consider before asking. Ok back to my regularly scheduled guacamole loving sunshine-y posts. Sending all my love to anyone who needs it today and always A post shared by whatsgabycookin (@whatsgabycookin) on Jun 19, 2019 at 6:01pm PDT

She's right: Up to 15 percent of recognized pregnancies end in miscarriage, according to the March of Dimes -most of which happen in the first trimester, when a woman is up to 12 weeks pregnant.

Despite what theyve been through, Gaby says that she and her husband feel super lucky to have a great support network. I know a lot of friends / acquaintances who feel very alone in this whole process and if youre not comfortable talking to your friends or fam, ask your doctor as there are plenty of recommendations for places to turn for support, she said.

Gaby also addressed something that bothers a lot of women, particularly if they've suffered a miscarriage: Others asking when a couple is going to have kids. "I get asked on a daily basis when we are planning to have kids, she said.

Gaby ended on this note: Sending all my love to anyone who needs it today and always. Right back at you, Gaby.
