"I don't know if I love my girlfriend anymore"

Hi Bukky,

I'm a 20-yr-old guy and I just finished my ND programme. I have a girlfriend but problem is I don't know if I love her anymore.

We've been in an off and on relationship for 5 years which she broke up and reconciled me about three times and I keep taking her back because I loved her, but now I can't help but question my love for her.

To make matters worse, I asked her if she was always coming back because she loves me or has known me for a long period and she couldn't give me an appropriate answer. She asked for sometime to think about it, then after two days came back to tell me she still loves me.

I'm going crazy because I can't actually answer if I love her or not...I'd be happy to get a quick response.

Hello Tayo,

Love can only be felt by two people who are in a relationship, it doesn't mean your relationship will be free from issues, it's knowing how to solve them that matters.

You got the answer you needed from your girlfriend, now the question is: do you see her in your future? This is one question only you can answer.

Love isn't enough to keep two people together, you'll need more than that for your relationship to stand the test of time.

Deciding what you really for your girlfriend may be really hard when you are together so it's advisable to ask for some personal space, if it's necessary.

Have a talk with her concerning your feelings first, let her know that you need to make a decision about your relationship then ask for a break to help you decide better.
