Was Adam Scott really singing in Big Little Lies?

Sadly, no. As Scott explained on Conan, he's lip syncing his song. Scott added that he "took singing lessons for weeks," but director Jean-Marc Valle still decided to get someone else to sing because Scott and his co-star James Tupper "have the worst voices ever!" as Vale told The Hollywood Reporter .

As Vulture reports, "The Wonder of You" was actually sung by a singer named Conor OBrien. O'Brien is also the lead singer of an Irish band called The Villagers.

Zo Kravitz also sings in character as Bonnie Carlson, but she didn't need a voice stand-in because Valle said that she "sings like a goddess and she was amazing." However, Kravitz also had to lip sync to her cover of " Don't " because it was easier to shoot .
