The Internet Is Extremely Thirsty for Zoë Kravitz and Robert Pattinson in 'The Batman'

According to The Hollywood Reporter , Kravitz beat out other actresses including Ella Balinska (Charlie's Angels) and Eiza Gonzlez ( Hobbs & Shaw ) in a rigorous screen testing process in which they all read for the role in scenes with Pattinson. This will be Kravitz's second time playing the character following her voice acting work in The Lego Batman Movie, and fans are already excited to see the on-screen chemistry between Batman and Catwoman.

The casting was made even more delicious by the fact that Kravitz has previously revealed she was denied the opportunity to even audition for a small role in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, being told she was "too urban" (a racially loaded descriptor if ever we heard one). And now she's taking on one of the most iconic female roles in comic book history, following in the storied pawprints of Eartha Kitt, Julie Newmar, Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry and Anne Hathaway.
