You can make consuming this fruit even more interesting by transforming it into a frozen margarita!

What you need:

  • 3 - 4 cups of cubed watermelon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 ounces tequila
  • 5 ounces Triple Sec
  • Lime juice (use two limes for this)
  • Lime wedge

Directions:

  • Put watermelon and sugar in a blender. Blend until it is smooth.
  • Pour out the blended puree into a jug using a strainer.
  • Add tequila, triple sec and lime juice to jug, stir.
  • Place sugar in a side plate.
  • Rub the rims of the drinking glass with lime wedge.
  • Spin rim of the glass in sugar.
  • Pour watermelon margarita into glass.
  • Garnish with lime wedge.

This can also be made a virgin cocktail, when making it, you have the option of not adding the tequila and triple sec.
