Wilshere, whose career has been plagued by injuries, broke his leg shortly before the 2015 Community Shield in August and has not made a single appearance this season.

He could feature in an Under 21 game next Friday as he steps up his recovery from a broken leg.

England manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that he wants the midfielder to be fit for Euro 2016 and Arsenal manager Wenger says Wilshere is on schedule for a return.

'I'll be cautious with him now but he will be back fully competitive in a few weeks,” Wenger said in his press conference on Friday, April 1.
