Female pastor allegedly runs teenage prostitution cartel in Cherubim and Seraphim Church
A female pastor of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church at Ijoko-Ota in Ogun state, Idowu Olupinla, has been accused of operating a prostitution cartel with teenage girls, aged 14 to 16.
According to Premium Times, this terrible act has led to the arrest of the 54-year-old by the Ogun state Police command, while the girls have been taken to a hospital for medical examination.
One of the girls opened up on her encounter with the prophetess.
She said that the girls have committed a lot of abortions, adding that they are expected to a N200 commission to the prophetess, out of their N500 pay, in order to continue living in the church.
“I lost my father and decided to stay with the prophetess, Idowu Olupinla, who always prophesied and prayed for me. She said that we should allow the boys who are members of the church who came for crusade to sleep with us in the church premises and pay us N500. So I have been staying with the prophetess for about one year and men have been having sex with us in the church premises, and I have done five abortions with the drug that the prophetess gave us. We are almost 10 girls staying in church of the prophetess as hostages until the police came to rescue us", the girl said.
Another said the pastor arranged an apartment for the men to sleep with them.
"We are about 10 with Mama, She always arranged men for us to have sex. She created an apartment within the church premises, where the men slept with us. We charged N500 per sex in which Mama will collect N300 and give us N200. We get about N1,500 per day with Olupinla’s commission included,” she said.
Despite these statements, Olupinla has denied all of these accusations, saying: “I don’t know them. I have never been involved in anything of the sort they said. I never took any money from them. These are mere allegations against me. I am the founder of the church. All I know is that everybody is free to come and pray in my church and bring either the husband or wife along.”
In an interview with newsmen at Eleweran Police Headquarters, Abeokuta, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu, said the female pastor will be charged with human trafficking and child abuse soon.
This comes after the Lagos state Police arrested the General Overseer of Tongue of Fire Restoration Ministry, Chukwuma Nkwocha, for reportedly camping and defiling 30 underaged girls.
