Singer narrates inspiring tale of breakthrough single 'Osinachi' [Video]
The singer talks about how he was at the point of giving up, and had to seek the face of God, but close relatives encouraged him to thank God for his situation presently regardless, which gave him the inspiration behind his breakout song ‘Osinachi’ meaning ‘From God’, narrating that he wrote all the songs right in the church.
“…I came back, nothing was happening, no show, no money, the thing was so frustrating, and I was asking myself if maybe I have been making a mistake, maybe I’ve been doing the wrong thing thinking music is for me, I prayed I fasted, I went to church, but this particular day I went to church, and I was like asking God, my mates are now graduates, me am here doing music, it’s not paying, what’s up, what’s happening, If it’s wrong thing for me, tell me let me drop, people were like I should go back to the village, so right there in the church came into my mind that I should stop complaining, I’m still young that I have everything I need, God has done so much for me, I should thank God and encourage others, so right there thinking about thanking God for what He has done for me, Osinachi just popped out.”
The ‘Jukwese’ singer added that he knew the song was going to be a hit.
