Late politician's wife dies at 99

Born Hannah Idowu Dideolu Adelana (HID) in Ikenne, Ogun State on November 25, 1915, the late politician's wife was fondly described as a "jewel of inestimable value" by her late husband.

Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Dideolu Awolowo, wife of late statesman, Obafemi Awolowo has been announced dead barely two months to her 100th birthday.

Chief (Mrs.) Awolowo is the grand mother to Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of Nigeria's Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

The late HID celebrated her 99th birthday on November 25, 2014 amidst pomp and glee while having the ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan in attendance.
