That Jesus Christ’s Chamber Of Rapture (A Poem)

If you are still picking your teeth after the long Easter break or still sluggishly going about your duties, now is the time for you to get up, stand up and get busy – without losing the spirit of sacrifice that this season stands for.

Well, this Easter was a sober one for me. There was more of introspection than feasting as I pondered the wonder that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is.

If, like me, the import of Jesus’ death and ultimate sacrifice is not lost on you, then enjoy this poem and please remember to share...

Chamber Of Rapture

none asks the seed's will

before sowing-internment

yet, after the tilling wheel

'tis doomed to grave tent

under granular blanket

of humus and moisture

there, the seed's casket

turns chamber of rapture

the rot of a buried seed

is unto death - we reason

but Death must Life cede

...a gangly stalk is risen!

who shall deny this wonder

of life milked from the tomb

that a man could wander

in... and turn grave to womb!
