Buhari receives Ghanaian President Akufo-Addo in Abuja ahead of Super Eagles clash against the Black Stars [Photos]
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari has welcomed his Ghanaian counterpart Nana Akufo-Addo on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
The meeting between the two presidents comes just a day before the Super Eagles of Nigeria take on the Black Stars of Ghana in a 2022 FIFA World Cup double header playoff qualifier.
Foreign Affairs Minister of Nigeria Geoffrey Onyeama took to Twitter to announce that the Ghanaian President has touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Along with photos was a message that said, "Received at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, President @NAkufoAddo of Ghana."
The official Government of Nigeria handle also stated that the Ghanaian President was well received by President Buhari at Aso Rock.
Along with photos was a message that said, "President @NGRPresident receives in audience President of Ghana, @NAkufoAddo at the State House, Abuja.#AsoVillaToday."
The Super Eagles are already in Ghana to face the Black Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Ashanti on Friday, March 25, 2022.
