Players get N10M after Federation Cup win, new coach unveiled
After winning the 2016
FC IfeanyiUbah on Sunday, November 6 defeated via penalty shoot-out to lift the Federation Cup at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
After the win, the club announced that they have rewarded the club with bonuse.
“Management of FC Ifeanyi Ubah has approved and released cash reward(winning bonuses) for the players, management and the supporters club,” the club wrote on Twitter.
“To appreciate them for their commitment and determination throughout the season and the eventual triumph as follows.
“N10,000,000 for the footballers and $10,000 (N4.6m) for the Head Coach/Technical Director, and Assistant Coach, ."
The management also announced the approval and release of the sum of N150M to the club
The money, according to the club, will be used for the enhancement of the club, signing of additional players and vigorous preparation for next season.
They also announced Management plans to tour five countries in Europe for two weeks.
The club also announced the appointment of a new head coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
Yatsuhashi , a Japanese-American was a former coach at Accra House of Oak.
A new assistant coach, Mr Yaw Preko was also announced.
Yaw Preko joins FC Ifeanyi Ubah from Accra Hearts of Oak where he was acting Head Coach.
Management of the club also promoted its Bulgarian Head Coach, Mitko Dobrev to the position of the Technical Director of the Club.
The club’s Brazilian Assistant Coach, Rafael Everton has been offered to retain his position as the Assistant coach in addition to being a new role as Head Coach, Youth Develpoment of the club.
