The video was released on Sunday March 13, 2016. From the reactions we are getting here, the video has met and even surpassed the fans' expectations. It stars Falz, Simi of X3M music and Nollywood's Deyemi Okanlawon.
Pulse Music presents you with seven things we love about the mini-movie directed by Clarence Peters.
1. The storyline of the song matches perfectly with the visuals Clarence Peters portrays. There are only a handful of videos in the Nigerian music space that get it right when matching the audio and visuals of a song. This mini-movie by Falz does an excellent job at meeting the expectations of the fans that have anticipated the visuals to the song.
2. The acting on the part of the major characters ā Falz, Simi, and the Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon were very convincing and this is not to undermine the acting abilities of other characters in the mini-movie such as Simiās mother. Ā Everyone played their part to the letter.
3. The humour of course canāt be left out as Falz made sure we got another round of his signature funny accent.
4. The video concept, production and direction - From costume to the set location, special effects, script writing, etc , the mini-movie very well stands out amongst the pack and must be credited as such.
5. The video also creates the element of suspense like a good mini-movie should as we anticipated the release of the mini-movie and we have also been kept in suspense to watch out for a part two of the mini-project.
6. Falz has set some sort of standard and will be used as a yardstick for others to match up to. Although to imitate him wouldnāt be wise. The lesson to be learnt here is that creativity and innovation will always stand you out.
7. Simi also has been on a gradual upward rise, maintaining her originality as an alternative music act. Take home lesson : Believe in what you have to offer, thereās enough room for everyone to blossom.
