Biopic featuring Tom Hanks gets release date

Clint Eastwood's upcoming Captain Sully biopic, which is titled "Sully," has been set for a September release.

Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow announced on Friday that the biopic will premiere in cinemas on September 9, 2016.

Starring Tom Hanks as Capt. Chesley Sully' Sullenberger, the movie also stars three-time Academy Award nominee, and three-time Tony Award nominee, undefined

The drama also stars Aaron Eckhart, Jerry Ferrara, Autumn Reeser, Sam Huntington and Max Adle.

"Sully" tells the story of American pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, who heroically landed the troubled US Airways Flight 1549 full of passengers on the Hudson River.

The movie which is based on Sully’s 2009 book, "," will be produced and directed by Clint Eastwood.
