Jennifer Lawrence beat Lily Tomlin(Grandma), Melissa McCarthy(Spy), Maggie Smith (The Lady in the Van) and Amy Schumer  to win the "best actress in a drama"at the

The award marked Lawrence' third Golden Globe win. The award was presented to the actress on Sunday by Michael Keaton.

"Every time I am up here it is because of you," she said to director . "Thank you for choosing me, thank you for your brilliance. Thank you for teaching me so much professionally and personally.

"Your love for cinema is so pure. You are so untainted by all of this, and you make movie like you don't even care if anyone ever sees them. I mean that as a compliment," she added.
