Sequel gets new release date
A new release date has been announced for the sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982
Originally scheduled for a January 12, 2018 release, the sequel has been moved up to October 6, 2017.
"Blade Runner 2" will star alongside undefined(reprising his role as Rick Deckard).
Gosling recently confirmed his being a part of the project to Collider saying "It's exciting. If I say anything more there's a chip in me that will explode."

To be directed by Denis Villeneuve and executive produced by Ridley Scott, its 1982 original movie is considered one of the greatest science-fiction film of all time.
Harrison Ford who starred in the 1982 sci-fi film will reprise his character as replicant hunter.
The original film starred Ford alongside Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos, and a modified film adaptation of the 1968 novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.

The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in which genetically engineered replicants, which are visually indistinguishable from adult humans, are manufactured by the powerful Tyrell Corporation.
