The upcoming 2017 American neo-noir science fiction film is directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green.

A sequel to "Blade Runner,"  the movie sees Harrison Ford reprise his role as Rick Deckard with Ryan Gosling in lead role, while Jared Leto, Ford, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass, Lennie James and Dave Bautista play supporting roles.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The original film starred Ford alongside Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos, and a modified film adaptation of the 1968 novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.

Originally scheduled for a January 12, 2018 release, the sequel has been moved up to  October 6, 2017.
