On Monday, March 27, 2016, fans received a surprise deleted scene clip titled "Communion," which features more of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

The clip also features how the villain was finally apprehended. In the scene, Lex is seen inside the wreckage of General Zod's ship, after he has created Doomsday to battle the superheroes.

As military forces enter the ship to capture him, they find him communing with some sort of demon figure, controlling three Mother Boxes.
